What are the current VuFind development priorities?
As of March 2011, the following enhancement suggestions have been identified as highest priority for investigation and possible implementation: • Extend the VuFind mobile interface to the I-Share union catalog. • Add personal name subjects (from the bib 600 $a) to the list of topic facets that display on the Results page. • Add a “Request 1st available” function to the VuFind local catalog that will allow users to launch easily a UB request (for an item from another I-Share library) when the local library’s copy of a title is unavailable. • Distinguish media within format types (for instance, DVD from VHS). • Facilitate “renew all” requests.
