What are the current trends (both locally and internationally) when it comes to bamboo flooring?
Solid bamboo remains popular world wide, but strand woven bamboo is starting to gain significant traction as the prices have started to fall due to the Style Plaehn patient being overruled in the USA, and the Chinese patient board revoking Styles patient, thus allowing greater competition. Initially, to our knowledge, there were only three strand woven bamboo patient holders (each with their own unique patient). A number of factories were producing strand woven bamboo in contravention of the Style patient. The factories are coming up with new products virtually monthly, some compelling and other not. There is even a manufacturer that produces a “glow in the dark” bamboo floor with a luminescence coating. Our one product;”resilient bamboo”, is a very rustic looking product.
