In the education space, Lavasa has already signed up the University of Oxford to develop executive education facilities in India and Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), UK, to provide expertise for a residential IB school (over 60% of their students go on to Oxford and Cambridge each year) starting in 2009. Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland is bringing in their famed hospitality school with the first intake planned for 2009. Symbiosis, Pune and Christ University, Bangalore, both deemed universities, are also setting up campuses in Lavasa. NSHM – Knowledge Campus will set up India’s first Retail, Media & Thinking Management University at Lavasa. Institute of International Business Relations (IBR), the premier business school in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a part of the University of Berlin, is also setting up its campus at Lavasa.
