What are the current components of the Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program?
• Since July 2004, the Avon Foundation has distributed over 1 million domestic violence resource guides and given over $700,000 to domestic violence organizations across the country. • Also available is a pocket-sized brochure that outlines safety-planning tips to consider if you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship or is thinking of leaving one. Since caution is important, the brochure is small enough to be discreetly slipped into a pocket or purse. • This Mothers Day, the Avon Foundation launched the new Connect mini-mag. Connect helps adults talk to kids about domestic violence, teen dating violence and violence against women. Connect features articles and stories that identify warning signs in your children and suggest ways to discuss the issues with them. • In June, the first Avon product to raise funds for the domestic violence cause will be sold.
