It is expected that Corrections will continue to grow. There is no anticipation for large employers (500+ employees) moving into the area. Job skills needed to meet present employers needs are: apprenticeships for trade jobs, willingness to work basic labor positions, basic computer, reading and math skills. Customer Service training is needed to meet the needs of local service industries, retail businesses and tourist attractions. Also soft skills training may be available to address basic employment maturity and ethics training (appearance, interview, attendance, punctuality, respect, etc.). • Describe any inter-regional workforce planning currently taking place or anticipated in the next five years. To keep consistency throughout the regions, committees have been formed for Marketing, Resource Centers, WEB site development and Workforce Center Identity.
