What are the criteria to serve as an alternate proctor?
An acceptable proctor is someone who can communicate in English and has no conflict of interest in upholding UMUC’s Code of Student Conduct. Relatives, friends, spouses, and neighbors are not acceptable proctors. The following are some examples of acceptable proctors: • An education/testing center official. • Military commissioned officer of higher rank than the student. • Faculty or official staff member at a university, community college, or high school. • Librarian, whose job responsibilities include proctoring exams. • Corporate training center official.
