The Corporate Affiliations public companies database contains listings for most major publicly traded companies with U.S.- located headquarters traded on one of the three major U.S. exchanges. 100% coverage of companies listed on NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX exchanges are included as are significant companies traded on smaller U.S. exchanges. Investment funds or companies with letter series stocks are not listed in the database. Companies listed generally have revenues in excess of $10 million, employee totals in excess of 300 persons, or substantial assets/net worth. Subsidiaries for these parent companies are included, whether or not they are located in the United States. Also included are outside service firms attached to the parent companies. These are firms that perform specialized services such as accounting, legal, pension management etc. Presently, there are approximately 6,000 U.S. public companies and 40,000 subsidiaries.
