What are the credit rating agencies?
Credit Rating agencies are meant to analyize an individuals credit. When you approach a bank for a loan they will rate your capacity thru these agencies. Now Finance Ministry has introduced a new Agency called CIBIL. They will consolidate all your loans, bank a/c, credit cards etc thru your PAN No. and bank can get the Credit rating from CIBIL before providing an individual a loan.
