What are the core course requirements?
The course requirements, which come to 57 credit hours, cover five divisions (see http://www.jcu.edu/undergradbulletin/libarts for more information). Division I: 17 credits First-Year Seminar, 3 credits English Composition, 6 credits Speech Communication, 2 credits Foreign Language, 6 credits Division II: 9 credits in Art History, Communication and Theatre Arts, Classical & Modern Languages, English, & History Three courses: one literature course, one either History or Art History, and one additional course which may be from any of these departments. Division III: 6 credits in Economics, Political Science, and Sociology Two courses from two disciplines.
