What are the contributions & the scientific attitudes of Charles Darwin?

0

Darwin’s primary claim to fame is his theory of how all life came to be or the origin of species. He described the mechanism that now is universally accepted as the scientific explanation for evolution and that is natural selection. There are no competing theories since intelligent design is nothing more than creationist ideology and it distorts actual science rather than contributing to it. He also found many fossils and noted how an earthquake caused the land in South America to rise several meters. It was an important insight into how old the Earth must be to get fossil sea shells on the top of the Andes. He was very careful about documenting all his finds and using a logical scientific method. Evolution is a fundamental cornerstone of biology.
