Dentist must have 14 credit hours a calendar year or a cumulative of 28 every two years. Hygienists must have 7 credit hours a calendar year or a cumulative of 14 every two years. S.C.D.A. member must have 15 credit hours per calendar year and 30 every two years.

Thereafter all dentists and dental hygienists must be recertified in CPR once every 3 years. Yearly recertification is not required, but can be used as continuing education hours any time. Every dental employee that works in patient care, either directly or indirectly, has to have OSHA training every year by a qualified person and the training must be documented.
