If you choose not to enroll, you continue to enjoy the standard CHAMPUS benefit (now known as TRICARE Europe Standard). This option does require the payment of a deductible and of cost-shares, and may increase the likelihood of referral to civilian sources for medical care. Non-enrollees will be subject to “space available” care rules.
