What are the components of a Teaching Dossier?
Teaching dossiers are comprised of three sections: approach to teaching, summary of teaching contributions, and evaluation of teaching. Drawing from the required components of the Practicum, candidates will be able to provide a comprehensive account of their approach to teaching, while illustrating the means by which they fulfilled the Practicum requirements. The Teaching Documentation Guide for Teaching Assistants, adapted from a more general guide developed by York’s Senate Committee of Teaching and Learning, delineates the components of a teaching dossier for the Practicum. The CST also has a number of dossiers on file for perusal.
