What are the community standards for Athletics Nation? Can I use four-letter words?
Hey, we’re sports fans and we get upset when Dotel gives up a late inning 3-run jack for us to lose. I understand that four-letter words can come streaming out, but use good judgment. There are some younger people on the site so try and keep it to a minimum. As for other things that can get you banned, they include personal insults, racist, religious or homophobic statements and posts that are intended to incite anger. Keep this golden rule in mind: “You can attack a comment without attacking the poster.” Remember, regardless of what you think about someone’s thought process, we all bleed green and gold and we’re all cheering for the same team, even if we do it differently. Also, please keep personal political beliefs away from Athletics Nation. While this isn’t a banning offense, it isn’t healthy to inspire good baseball talk.
