What are the color characteristics of the Single-8 stocks?
Each person will perceive color differently. R25N is a fine grained stock, slightly grainier than Kodachrome 25 and 40, but with more realistic colors. It’s been described as a more modern palette, similar to contemporary negative films. It’s slightly saturated, but not anywhere near as saturated as Fuji’s Velvia slide film. The palette more closely matches Astia and Provia which have more natural skin tones than Velvia. RT200N is a medium grain tungsten-balanced stock, slightly grainier than Ektachrome Super 8, but at 200ASA. Demos of RT200N are on the RT200N page.
