What are the COB Email Groups?
The intent of these email groups is to get important information to you quickly and efficiently. Your departmental Email Group is a communication channel between your department and you. Receipt of and reading the pertinent information from COB Email will mean that you will be aware of academic changes, internships, job opportunities, meetings, etc. You are automatically added to y our department Email Group with your NIU email address. We highly recommend you activate that email account since much important information (such as your class schedules and semester grade reports) will be sent to your NIU address. Check your email at least weekly, if not more often, as you will not want to miss important messages. Departments will be using this mode of communication as frequently as necessary to keep all majors well informed of department and college news. Not all messages may pertain to you.
