What are the co-benefits of using Bio Fertilisers and Processes approved for this program?
• Change in Available Phos. We see this normally minimum 30% increase with many sites reporting in excess of 100% increase in their Cowell P reading. • Change in water holding capacity of soil. This is a documented capacity increase which follows increases in Soil Carbon and organic matter. We typically see increases of 1% carbon by weight of soil (meaning change from say 0.5% Carbon to 1.5% carbon). The extra carbon has a direct bearing on water retention. There are lots of documented studies showing how much water is held with this level of increased carbon. • Change in CEC. We typically see this increase by approx 20% and often much more. This measure determines the soil’s overall ability to transfer nutrients and is a commonly recorded improvement where soil organicmatter improves. • Improvements in overall soil structure, aeration, etc – these result from diversified fungal development (particularly aerobic fungi) which is a key feature of the application of these types of program
