What Are The Climatic Conditions Of Coniferous Forests In Pakistan?
Coniferous forests are located in upper Punjab, NWFP and northern areas of Pakistan. These forests are in the mountainous areas. They have tall and narrow trees, so snow can slide off the branches without breaking them. The trees grow close together for protection from the wind. They also have thick bark, which resists damage from low-heat and summer fires.
