What are the city ordinances with regards to door-to-door sales persons or solicitors?

Unfortunately there are no current restrictions. A lawsuit filed by a door to door vacuum company against numerous Utah cities forced a repeal of our ordinance. If you do not want solicitors, it is best to post a “No Solicitation” sign near your door. Then no uninvited solicitors may come to your door, or it is a trespass.
