What are the charges for using MobileRediff?
Just like your web based Rediffmail, Rediffmail inside MobileRediff is also free. You would incur only the GPRS charges as per your mobile operators GPRS plans. The Rediff SMS services will be charged as per the short-code rate of your mobile operator (typically Rs 3 or Rs 2 per SMS depending on the operator). You will be always asked a confirmatory question before an SMS gets sent out to 57333, so no fear of accidentally getting billed for short-code SMS. For sending Hindi/Marathi/English SMS to your friends and family you will be charged as per your SMS rate plan. The operator charges typically depend on whether you send local, national or international SMS. Always check if the recipient phone model supports Hindi message display. Majority of the GSM phone models in the Indian market today support Hindi SMS display.
