What are the characteristics of underdeveloping countries?is india a developing country?

India is a developing country all bias aside. An under developing (aka an LDC or Less Developing Country) country would be categorized as a country that is number 1 populated beyond the environments means to support it and second it is doing nothing to help its bulging populations. There are other characteristics too, for example Crude Death rate(CDR), which is the number of deaths per 1000 births in a society and the Crude Birth Rate(CBR) which is the number of births. An under developing country would have a low CDR because of advanced medical technology imported from the improved countries like USA but they would have a high CBR meaning that more people are added to the population per year than people die. In India before medical advances, there was a lot of death especially in the younger ages, hence people had more children to make sure at least some of them would survive into adulthood, but recently thanks to advanced medical technology lesser people are dying and more are living
