WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CHILDREN PLACED BY CATHOLIC CHARTIES?
Catholic Charities provides both domestic and international adoption placement services. Through international adoption services, we place infants, toddlers, older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs who are identified by cooperating agencies overseas. These children are primarily from Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, China, Guatemala, Columbia and Russia & Eastern Europe who have become legally free for adoption because their birth parents are unable to care for them. The children meet the U.S. Immigration requirements for international adoption. Through our domestic services, the children placed are primarily African American, Caucasian and biracial infants, including both healthy infants and those with risk factors in their background or other special needs.
