What are the characteristics of a healthy, well-functioning bowel?
If the bowel has sufficient fiber and water it is characteristic for the bowel to move shortly after the meal is eaten. Once the urge to eliminate is honored by a trip to the toilet, the elimination should be easy and take no more than a few seconds.
