What are the characteristics of a good school secretary..?
A good school secretary is pleasant and competent. They should be as comfortable talking to parents as they are talking to small children. I know that in my elementary school the secretary often made announcements, so be comfortable doing that. As far as practical things I would say you would (obviously) be very organized and able to deal with a lot of different personalities. Good penmanship would probably be a good thing too.
