What are the changing rooms like for the pools?
The changing area is in the family/communal style – there are no separate male and female areas. This is how most new pools are built as it gives flexibility, as it allows parents with children of a different gender easy changing. There are group changing rooms for schools, which can be sectioned off from the rest of the changing area. There are large family group changing and all the other cubicles are much larger than normal so that each one can fit one adult and child. There are several baby changing units . Privacy screens have been built into the design so that it is difficult for mischievous children to peer into another cubicle. Staff regularly walk through the area ensuring sensible use. There are individual enclosed showers and general shower areas.
