The new Massachusetts Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection will be approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) as equivalent to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Inspection. Vehicles inspected under the Massachusetts Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection will receive written proof of the equivalent inspection in the form of required DOT paperwork upon passing the inspection.
