Qantas operations to Thailand will remain unchanged. Qantas will continue the current codeshare arrangement with Vietnam Airlines from Sydney and Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City. Qantas will discontinue the wet leased services provided by Australian Airlines between Sydney, Melbourne and Bali. Qantas operates 6 weekly services to Bali (PER DPS SIN – 2 per week, SIN DPS PER – 2 per week , DRW DPS – 2 per week) Qantas announced major changes to its Japan schedule on Friday 21 July 2006. Qantas will increase capacity between Sydney and Tokyo (Narita) from 2 October 2006, increasing the number of flights on the route from seven to eleven. Melbourne to Narita services will change from daily 767 services to four weekly services operated by A330-300 aircraft.
