You will not receive any more bins if you already have three unless you request additional recycling bins. For those that currently have the three bin system only the types of waste that you collect in each will change. Householders that do not have a blue-lidded or brown-lidded bin can request these if the property is assessed as suitable. The current system and the new system of collections are illustrated below. Significantly, the paper bin collection will change to the dry mixed recyclate collection with a garden waste/food waste collection in the brown-lidded bin, and the general waste collection will be on the opposite week. As more recyclates are taken out of the general waste there is a lessened requirement for the general waste bin.
