The veteran slugger has not made an official decision on whether he will play again in 2011, but he did indicate that he’ll likely be back for his 21st Major League season. Thome said he would like to return to Minnesota if possible. It certainly would be a fun thing to see Thome reach the 600 career home run mark in a Twins uniform, and he could be a big boost to the offense — whether it’s off the bench or getting at-bats in the DH role. But more teams could be interested in Thome after his strong 2010 season, and the Twins will have to see whether they can find the right fit to bring him back.
