What are the chances that Led Zeppelin will do a reunion tour?
Good question! First let me say that Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time and I continue (despite my undergraduate degree in music and everything else musical that has transpired in my life) to listen to their recordings more than any other single artist or composer in my collection….and there are many. That being said, a reunion tour would absolutely be too good to be true. The chances??? Personally, I don’t think the chances are very good at all. I have been doing a fair amount of reading about it, especially in the last two weeks. All of the sources that I’ve seen that have claimed that the tour may happen have been quoting the same exact “source” with this exact sentence, “Page, Plant and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert. They are waiting for a definite date.” That’s it. Now, first of all, the memorial concert of which this source speaks is for Atlantic Records Founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died this past December.
