What are the chances of seeing sharks on the dives?
When diving along the East Coast of South Africa (Protea Banks, Aliwal Shoal and Sodwana Bay) there is a chance of seeing sharks all year round. Aliwal Shoal is a popular spot for tiger sharks, which can be seen at any time of year but are most common in April and May. Ragged tooth sharks, or raggies are most common between June and November, whilst there is a year round chance of seeing other sharks such as whale sharks, Zambezis, sand sharks, hammerheads and very occasionally great white sharks.
