What are the chances of developing Placenta Previa Twice?
It depends on whether or not you have scarring on the inside of your uterus or any other anomaly which may prevent the placenta from attaching itself higher up. Usually it is just a random occurrence in a first pregnancy so your chances are no greater in the second pregnancy. An ultrasound usually around 20 weeks can determine the location of the placenta. Even if it is marginal or low lying meaning near the cervix at this point, it will usually migrate upwards as your uterus grows. As I’m sure you already know, seek medical care if you notice any spotting or bleeding.
