What are the challenges with the leading mineral makeup lines?
Now let’s look at some mineral makeup lines. They are made of minerals and do not have the chemicals ofsome liquid foundations. This is a good thing and is what originally made me want to try them, but some of the minerals they feature are challenging for over 35 skin. The ingredients typically contain Bismuth Oxychloride (derived from naturally occurring metallic element bismuth & salt), Titanium Dioxide (Oxide of Titanium) and Mica (derived from mineral Muscovite Mica) as their number 1, 2 & 3 items in their ingredient lists. These ingredients do good things, but they are also the ingredients that leave the “Shiny White Mask” on our face. This may work for young skin (although I don’t even think the “Shiny White Mask” is a good look at any age unless you are trying to become a geisha) but once you’re in your mid thirties, these ingredients are going to settle into your fine lines, wrinkles and pores, exaggerating them and ultimately making you look older.
