What are the challenges of maintaining a “vintage” garden?
Maintaining a vintage garden really does not vary significantly from maintaining a modern garden. My biggest challenge is time. This is a large property to manage and I frequently run out of hours in the week before I run out of things that need my attention. I rely on volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. I have a wonderful core group of people who do a great job helping me to stay on top of things but we will always welcome anyone who would like to get involved regardless of skill level or experience.
