What are the certification requirements for my financial support documents?
International applicants who plan to apply for an F-1 visa are required by the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service to provide the university with a statement and supporting documents of financial ability for the first year of study before an I-20 can be issued. Two original sets of supporting documents should be obtained. Send one set with the application documents and use the other when applying for a visa at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
