There are several causes of nocturnal enuresis ranging from medical related problems to simply the inability to learn. The three major theories that have been given on the causes of nocturnal enuresis are medical problems, the inability to learn, and emotional disturbance. Some of the natural causes of nocturnal enuresis are lesions in the central nervous system, bladder disorders, structural problems within the genital and urinary system, infections, and in some cases food allergies. Some of the medical disorders that can cause nocturnal enuresis are diabetes, urinary tract infections, sleep apnea, and epilepsy.
