What are the causes of food poisoning?
Food poisoning is a common, usually mild, but sometimes deadly illness. Improper cleaning and washing of fruits and vegetables and improper cooking of food can also causes of food poisoning. The causes sometimes classified by how quickly their symptoms begin after eating potentially contaminated food. Think of this as the incubation time from when food enters the body and the symptoms begin. According to research, its causes divided into two categories infectious agents and the toxic agents. Infectious agents include viruses, bacteria and the parasites. The toxic agents include poisonous mushrooms, improperly prepared exotic foods or pesticides on fruits and the vegetables.
There are many commonly known causes such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Campylobacter. Food poisoning is an illness caused by eating food that has been contaminated by bacteria or toxins. The symptoms of food poisoning can include nausea, abdominal cramp, diarrhoea and vomiting. The severity of the condition is dependent on the amount of bacteria or toxin ingested, the type of food poisoning organism and whether or not the person is in a vulnerable group.
