The CARF take home standards, found in the CARF Opioid Treatment Program Accreditation Standards Manual, are driven by clinical practice guidelines, with an attempt to treat each patient as an individual. The CARF Opioid standards state: The medical director should determine if a person is eligible for unsupervised take-home medications based on [nine criteria listed in the standards manual].
