What are the career opportunities if one pursues a graduate degree in SLE?
Graduates of the SLE program are teaching in universities, colleges, and public as well as private schools all over the world. Also, some of our graduates have gone on to work in various language-related businesses, i.e. positions such as Academic Director; ELT research consultant and teacher-trainer; e-Learning designer or consultant; etc. I have been very impressed by the research interests and activities of your department and would like to join your team. OISE/UT faculty positions are advertised on the following website: http://www.oise.utoronto.ca Most work as assistants on research projects is done by graduate students in the Modern Language Centre, and that is often a condition of the funding agencies that provide the grants. So there are seldom positions for researchers at OISE/UT other than work done by full-time graduate students or by professors.
