What are the burn regulations for the City of Slidell and the unincorporated areas of St. Tammany Parish surrounding the City?

The City of Slidell has a “No Burn” ordinance within the City Limits enforced by STFPD1. Open burning of leaves, trash (not household garbage) and yard debris such as pine needled, pine cones, shrubs, brush and cut timber is permitted in the unincorporated areas of St. Tammany Parish if Parish Open Burning guidelines are adhered to. NOTE: If a fire is deemed to be a risk to health or safety it will be extingusihed by the fire department regardless of compliance with the Parish Burn Ordinance.
