I have a copy of The Building Regulations 2000 in front of me now and under ‘Part G Hygiene’ it states: Adequate washbasins shall be provided in: a) rooms containing water closets; or b) rooms or spaces adjacent to rooms containing water closets. She could argue that her sink is in a space adjacent to the room containing a water closet and therefore complies with the regulations.
