What are the bridesmaids duties?
You have not asked her to do anything that she shouldn’t want to do! Really, you have been very lenient on the things you have asked her to do! You should really ask her if she would still like to be in it, and try to say it in a way that lets her know that it would be ok if she did. Also, I want to address something that a previous poster said, I have met many happy bridesmaids, myself being one of them! I was in a wedding a few years ago and loved every minute of it! I wish she had given me more things to do! I am also a bride and a bridesmaid right now and I can’t wait to start helping my newly engaged maid of honor start her prep!

You have had more than enough red flags that she doesn’t want to be your bridesmaid whether it is because of her finances or maybe she is jealous of you. Either way find someone else. My matron of honor was a complete B**ch at my wedding I wish I would not have chosen her (she asked to be my matron of honor). Pick someone else it will be less stress on you in the long run. I wish I would have chose my male friend who is gay to have been my matron of honor. It was him and his partner who made sure my makeup was together, my dress was fixed, and multiple pictures were taken. Good Luck to you and congrats.
