What are the black spots on my roses?
caring for roses, many rose gardening experts have seen black spot. This is a fungus that causes many black spots to form in areas from 1/16 to a half inch on the leaves and stems. These are now infected and turn yellow, then will fall off. Sometimes this fungus can cause the rose bush to become completely defoliated. Wet leaves or splashing water as well as warm temperatures can cause this condition.
