In recent days, few significant biophysical problems have been identified which are directly associated with the application of cloning. Examples include premature death and age-related disease of some species originated through cloning process. Dolly, being the first mammal cloned sheep, had been found affected by chronic and progressive lung disease associated with chronic arthritis. Dolly developed premature ageing as compared to the normal one. Scientists have found that Dolly possessed telomeres shorter in size. Apart from that, Dolly had a fragile health condition altogether.
