What are the binder requirements?
Students are expected to have a 1 1/2 three ring binder that is for Language Arts class only. The reading calendar must go first. Then the dividers need to be next, labeled, and in this order: Daily Language Practice, Language Arts Handouts,Reader’s/Writer’s Notebook, Academic Vocabulary, and High Frequency Vocabulary. After the dividers will be one folder labeled on one side Homework and the other side labeled Take Home Papers. Students will be told in class the appropriate area to place handouts in their binder. All papers should remain in their binder until students are told by the teacher to remove them. In order to receive the 20 Bonus Points for the grading period a student must have all the papers organized in the right place as they were told in class.
