We walk on beams so I always look for oil/slip resistant soles. Most boots have a tag that tells if they are slip resistant or not. DO NOT buy cheap boots if you are going to wear them for 8-10 hours a day. Cheap boots are very hard on the feet and dont stay waterproof for long. They also fall apart very quickly. Red Wing is my choice. They are very comfortable and they stay waterproof forever. They’re also guaranteed 100% for 3-6 months and pro-rated for up to a year. The price around here ranges from $125 and up depending on the boot.
