What are the best ways to conserve biodiversity?
The best way to conserve biodiversity is to protect it before it becomes endangered. To conserve biodiversity, we must: • stop over harvesting species, such as elephants, rhinos, and tigers, leopards and other big cats; • stop destroying habitats; • stop polluting and otherwise disturbing habitats; and • stop spreading non-native species. We can also conserve biodiversity by reversing damage that has already been done. For example, we can restore natural communities by reintroducing native species and controlling invasive non-native species.
