What are the best types of binoculars for looking out to sea, long distance, wide angle?
With binoculars as indeed with any optical equipment price does affect the quality, you’d be looking to spend between 100-300 quid. I’m an astronomer not a maritime observer my binoculars are Hilkinson 11×70, 4 degree field of view bak-4 prisms multi coated. 10 years ago they cost me 250 quid. Sharp , so sharp i can cut cheese with them. Top quality so you can use my info as a benchmark.
