What are the best type of surfboards for Long Island?
I’m 15, 5′10 and 130 pounds. I’ve surfed for a while and im pretty good, trying to learn aerials. I’ve never really known the best type of board for long island. Right now I have a 5′10 quad fin firewire and 5′11 tri fin al merric flyer. I’m trying to get a new tri fin board that can boost. Go to a good local shop and talk to the folks there who surf the same breaks that you do. They can discuss your abilities and what you are looking for in depth. The folks at the shop can set you up with the right board for your skill level, size, local conditions and your budget, better than we can out here in cyberspace.
