What Are the Best Travel Shoes to Pack?
It’s the summer travel season — the time of year when we panic about what shoes to pack for our vacation. Picking the best travel shoes is a very personal decision, but be sure to invest in a comfortable, versatile, stylish pair of walking shoes, because shoes that hurt can ruin your whole trip. When I fly, I really try to pare my shoes down to the basics. The secret is to start with a key pair of multi-functional shoes that can serve as a in-flight shoe, loafer, a dress shoe, and even an athletic shoe in an emergency. Then, add in 2 pairs of shoes that make sense for your particular destination, climate, itinerary, etc. I pack 3 pairs of black shoes, and make sure every outfit in my suitcase works with at least one of these: 1.
